About the Congolese Documentary Project

The Congolese Documentary Project is a documentary film and community storytelling initiative documenting the lives, histories, and contributions of the Congolese community in Lexington, Kentucky. Through in-depth interviews, recorded conversations, and personal archives, the project preserves the voices of Congolese immigrants and their families — capturing journeys of migration, faith, culture, and resilience as they build new lives in the Bluegrass.

Community members can learn about the film, read updates and stories on the blog, express interest in participating, review and sign a media consent form, and schedule an on-camera interview at a time that works for them.
